LEAD PASTOR
Chris Kimbro
Pastor Chris grew up in western Kentucky and moved to West Virginia in 1999 to be part of King’s River. In 2000, he became our youth pastor for ten years, after which he served as our Executive Pastor for nine years. In November 2018, he became our Lead Pastor. Pastor Chris is ordained through the Assemblies of God. It was at King’s River, he met Amber and they were married in 2003 and have their twin, Kolby and Landon.
In his spare time, Pastor Chris loves hiking and exploring the outdoors. God has created beauty all around us that so many never experience. His family has enjoyed exploring New River Gorge, Yellowstone, Badlands, Glacier, Shenandoah, Yosemite, Sequoia, Arches, Canyonlands, and King’s Canyon National Parks. Currently his favorite National Park for hiking is Glacier National Park in Montana.

James Branham
Life Group and Worship Pastor

James and his wife Suzy, both West Virginia natives, returned home in 2018 after serving in ministry in Texas for 11 years. They are proud parents to five adopted children and are passionate about building community with new and old friends. Joining the King's River family in 2019, James now beautifully guides our congregation as the Life Group and Worship Pastor.

Jackie Johnson
Community Care Pastor

Jackie is a passionate teacher who blends biblical storytelling with the Socratic method to help others discover their identity in Christ. Dedicated to discipleship and healing prayer, she loves guiding others in their spiritual growth. Outside of ministry, Jackie enjoys kayaking, hiking to waterfalls, and spending time with her beautifully large, growing family.

Tim and Leticia VanHoose

A Huntington native, Tim met his wife Leticia while volunteering in Guatemala. Seeking simply to be known as "Jesus followers" and servants, they began serving in King's River Kids' Church in 2018. Driven by the Spirit during the pandemic, Tim and Leticia helped launch our Middle School Ministry (MSM), where they passionately serve our preteens and adolescents today.

Christa Corley
NextGen | Kid's Pastor and Communications Director

A proud West Virginia native, Christa has dedicated the past fifteen years to serving children, students, and families in various professional and ministry roles across the United States. From working in education and with Child Protective Service to churches and non-profits, her passion is people. Holding a degree in Biblical Studies from Valley Forge University, her heart is to bring a love of Jesus and knowledge of the Bible to all of our NextGen kids and students. She also hopes to bring her years of design and communication experience to help serve King's River.

Nathan Corley
NextGen | Youth Pastor

Originally from Oklahoma and raised in California and New Mexico, Nathan brings a lifelong background in children's, youth, and worship ministries to West Virginia. With over a decade leading and pastoring in the Assemblies of God, he and his wife Christa emphasize that true discipleship flourishes through authentic relationships. Nathan is dedicated to cultivating a supportive community for our students and their families.

Trina Ratliff

Trina has been a cherished part of King’s River for over 20 years, bringing a unique blend of financial expertise and a Master's in Social Work to our team. Alongside her husband, Keith, she co-leads our marriage ministry, Team Us, and warmly manages the church café. A mother of three, Trina is deeply committed to supporting our church family both administratively and pastorally.

Susan Smith
Front Office Director

Serving as our welcoming first point of contact since 2013, Susan ensures our daily operations run smoothly with a constant readiness to offer support and prayer. A Maranatha Bible College graduate, she is actively involved in our Prayer, Grief Share, and Tech Ministries. Outside the office, Susan loves spending time with her two grown children and enjoying music, arts, and literature.
