River Kids

A safe and engaging environment where children learn about Jesus in ways they understand.

Our Heart for Your Child

We believe children are not just the future of the church - they are the church right now.

As a vital part of the body of Christ, our heart for River Kids is expressed in three main functions:

(1) to reflect Kingdom family within our kids ministry by fostering healthy, consistent relationships with God and each other

(2) to introduce, explain, and experience God and His word by sharing Bible stories, learning Scriptural truth, and engaging with Him through prayer and worship.

(3) to help children take the God they are learning about and experiencing beyond Sunday and with them through the week as they love and serve others outside of class time; walk with Jesus daily in real and practical ways; and transform the world around them.

Our goal is simple — we want every child to know they are loved by God and by their church family.

Splash Jr.

sunday mornings ages 2-4

In Splash Junior, we adventure into big fun, new friends, and learning about Jesus.

Here our friends 2-4 years old grow and play together as they discover that even small hearts can be part of Kingdom family and make a big splash for Jesus!

Through joyful play, simple truth, and fun activities for learning, our preschoolers begin their journey of faith. In Splash Jr., kids will grow in God’s love, learn His Word, and experience His presence in ways designed just for them.

River Kids

sunday mornings K–4th Grade

In River Kids, children dive deeper into God’s word, God’s character, and explore what it means to follow Him as they learn who He is.

Here, students kindergarten through 4th grade are guided to grow strong roots of faith with their Kingdom family as they let Jesus flow out through them.

Through engaging Bible stories, hands-on activities, games, worship, and small group time, our children discover God’s presence in their everyday lives, build friendships, and learn that even small acts of obedience and

faith can make a difference as they reflect Jesus and flow to the world around them.

Kanawha Quest

wednesday nights

K - 4th grade

In Kanawha Quest, every Wednesday night our elementary schoolers are invited into the most exciting adventure ever - discipleship!

Here our K - 4th graders are welcomed to connect with their crew and quest into a new topic each week.

Through our crew time, our kids build connections with Jesus, safe adults, and peers. Using family table style snack and discussion, Bible basics education, and lessons and activities crafted to make God's word stick, we accomplish our goal.

The goal? Helping them learn and live out their life’s quest as disciples who live like Jesus and share Him everywhere they go.

Visiting for the First Time?

We want your first time checking your child in to our River Kids rooms to feel safe and welcoming!

When you arrive at our check in counter, our team will help you register your child. You’ll receive a secure tag for pick-up, and one of our volunteers will guide your child to their classroom.

If your child needs you during the service, we will contact you right away.

Partnering With Parents

And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Deuteronomy 6:6-9

We believe parents are the primary spiritual leaders in their kid's lives.

Our role is to support you, encourage you, and provide you with resources that help you continue the conversation at home.

Stop by our Parent Discipleship Resource shelf by the River Kids check in for different resources and activities you can use to help you as you disciple your children.
